Message From Michael (Day 22) |
Dear Friends of Glencolton Farms
Day 22. More and more people are pleading with me to stop the hunger strike . I listen and read the E mails and think a lot. I also understand all of your concerns. Thanks to everybody who cares so much.
I study a lot of the many discussions on the internet and
understand why so many seem to feel that we are on the wrong track. If
I were in their shoes, I could not think differently. I would even
refuse to think differently. The complacency regarding following public
orders without thinking is actually scary . . . scary because society
is constantly developing and, whenever society refuses to broaden their
objectives, government begins to take on a role of too much micro
management.
This is the situation that is slowly emerging in
every level of life, and it is taking away the responsibility for our
self and the caring for each other.
The raw milk debate is easy
if put on a level of an objective review. All that is needing to be
done is to weigh the pros and cons: Compare the health records of those
who drink pasteurized and unpasteurized milk; compare countries for
differences between the treatment of meat, eggs, fish, and veggies, and
we would have a solution.
Just think how great it could be if
there were no money interests involved, no profit thinking, no control
desire, just the well being of society. We could all live side by side,
greeting each other with respect. “Hi, Mr. McQuinty, how are you? Oh, you have problems digesting milk? Come try this; it might help you.”
“Oh
Michael, if I had only met you when I was Premier of Ontario, we could
have done so much for those like me. Sorry, I didn’t know.”
He lived happily thereafter. Good night my friends . . .
Regards, Michael
