Dear Cow Share Members and Friends:
We are now in the phase of our Milk mooo-vement where bureaucracy,
courts and government are flexing muscles to keep the face of authority
intact.
It appears that the $55,000 are not there to prevent me from continuing our private contracting arrangement, but to drain our financial resources in order to severely jeopardize our ability to defend our rights in the upcoming trial that begins on January 26, 2009.
As valid as the argument might be, i.e., that the courts need to be respected and that no one shall challenge the authority of the courts without punishment, as sacred is the moral responsibility to question the actions of those who rule and govern our country. I can understand how frightening these experiences can be if your motives are not clear or if you stand alone.
I am not alone, we are not alone, there are hundreds and thousands who feel the same way and hope that we will succeed. The voice of reason has given way to corporate agendas and corporate control over the political process. All this is not new and is a reality to many.
We are not asking to dismantle the political structure; we are not asking to ban corporations; we are not asking others to adopt our way of life. We are simply insisting that those who make decisions on our behalf have a responsibility to listen and a duty to protect individual freedom before they use and misuse the courts. We in fact act and live with utmost respect for society and the well being of our children and grandchildren. Unless we are willing to stand up for that, we cannot expect others to change.
We need to activate our friends; we need to build a moral power for change.
I know we can do it.
Please phone and meet with your MPP, your MP and those who think they have to regulate every aspect of life. We will make a difference. Networking is the key. Talk to your friends and neighbours. Keep educating and educating and educating; only those who understand can help

Tonight Michael Schmidt and the Grey Bruce Landowners Association made history we held an open forum and held a public court case at he Keady Community Center in Keady Ont and tried Michael in the court of public opinion and it was 100% support for him and for raw milk sales here in Ontario. hurray !!!
