Dear Ms. Lynn,
Reading your article regarding the dangers of drinking raw milk, I was
disturbed by the audaciousness of your comments. I do not drink
milk, raw or pasteurized, but if I did I would certainly drink raw
milk because the pasteurized milk contains about as much nutrition as
a glass of white coloured water.
You use phrases like "seems to have come from raw milk" , "possibly
infecting", "illnesses may occur", and then this non sequitur that
maintains "Well, I do (know people who were infected by raw milk) and
so I'll just let people know and maybe it will be helpful."
Your "just letting people know" is a bit more than passing on
mis-information, it has all the clout of government and police action
behind it, and you needn't be so modest about it. I know lots of
people who drink raw milk who don't get sick; my own children were
raised on it, and they never suffered any health problems because of
it.
The point is that you deny those of us who would gladly consume raw
milk products the possibility of doing so in a legal and upright
manner. Instead we have to become criminals according to your outdated
regulations. I personally am sick and tired of all this empty
tautological verbiage coming from departments such as yours. You are
acting in a dictatorial manner denying thousands of people what is
commonly available in most parts of the world.
