The Big Big Benefit Raises Big Big Bucks!

Including A New Cow Share That Fetches $4,000

All in support of Farmer Michael Schmidt’s
Raw Milk Legal Defense Fund

This past Saturday night “The Big Big Benefit” was a Fundraising event for the Legal Defense fund of Farmer Michael Schmidt.  Over 300 people attended at Cilento Winery in Woodbridge.  There were 11 celebrated chefs from Ontario, headed by Jamie Kennedy and Michael Stadtlander, who provided all organic Gourmet food.

The entertainment for the evening included Michael Schmidt, who conducted the Symphony in the Barn Chamber Orchestra, amongst other stellar performers.

The highlight of the evening was the live auction where one cow share fetched over $4,000.

The whole evening managed to raise $25,000 Dollars.

A team of lawyers headed by Clayton Ruby is preparing the defense for Michael Schmidt. Originally a court date was planned for February, but that has now been moved to later this year.

Despite a November 21, 2006 raid on his farm by over 20 armed Ministry of Natural Resources officers, Michael Schmidt continues his weekly service of providing cow share owners, their milk, in his famous Blue Bus.

For the last 12 years, with the Government’s full knowledge, Michael has provided Raw Milk to 150 families who own shares in his cows, including Ontario Finance Minister Greg Sorbara and his Family.
