The Third Day Of Christmas - Message from Michael
Dear Friends of Glencolton Farms and Defenders of Freedom of Choice:

The most difficult reality for many citizens of a so-called free and democratic country like Canada is the necessary disobedience of a law that does not respect basic human rights. Again and again, I have  asked the same question whenever I am confronted with “law and order” enforcers:  “Do you like what you are doing?????” The general response is, “We have to do our job”.

History can teach all of us where we are heading if we refuse to stand up to injustice, abuse of power and misuse of office.  To be passive is to be as responsible as those who are abusing power.

The need to do good in this world is so paramount to the development of a just society.  Every law in the country has been drafted and voted on by human beings elected into governing positions. As society develops, conditions change; so too must the law in order to reflect the development.

As I have said before, we need to have the courage to stand up for the basic right to have a voice. I can truly say that we are being heard now.

We also can see the beginning of people listening to us. Let’s be present, day after day. Let’s  be courageous and open for good things to come.

And, still, the cows do not get what the whole fuss is all about.

Cheers to both sides of the fence.

Farmer Schmidt
