Message From Michael (Day 25) |
Dear Friends of Glencolton Farms
It seems as if, after 25 days of no food, that no food becomes a
non-issue for the body. I am experiencing how little energy I have
lost. Because of great help from friends, I am not so involved in the
usual heavy physical work. However, the situation at the moment
requires more travelling, writing, telephoning, and lots of thinking.
I try to imagine how everybody involved in the long-handed, planned operation “Raid Michael Schmidt” is dealing with it now. I heard far too many times at the time of the raid, “I have to do my job”.
Considering the response of the public, I really wonder if some of the, for us, unknown people responsible for launching this attack would have wished that they had chosen the way of personal dialogue.
Our farm has always been open for dialogue. I even signed, in 1996, a contract with Bill Murdock and the Agricultural Minister at the time, Noble Villeneuve, under the public eye of about 70 people. In this contract, we agreed in writing to improve the communications between Glencolton Farms and the Government of Ontario to a level of basic respect. I was smart enough to keep that contract, with the signatures, in my safe. They did not find it at the raid.
What does this all mean??? That Glencolton Farms is honouring this contract, that Glencolton Farms is always open for a constructive dialogue. Just dial the number:
1 519 369 3578
Or visit us without police force at a time we all can agree to.
Cheers, my friends, on both sides of the conflict.
Regards Michael
