Let me give you all an update of our Tuesday venture. As you may
remember, I invited Brett Campbell, the chief investigator of the
intelligence and investigation section of the enforcement branch of the
Ministry of Natural Resources to be upfront and open in respect to what
he needs to finish his investigation in order to bring more charges
forward. Well , Tuesday was a demonstration of exactly the opposite.
Michael asked me to update everyone on the Guelph Organics Conference that happened last weekend.
It is the largest gathering of organic farmers and students and
suppliers of organic products in Canada with nearly two thousand people
going to the talks and going through the exhibits.
A very BIG thank you to all those who came together last Tuesday. First
of all, we had 5 cars and the BLUE BUS going down in the morning. Then,
in the evening, the Blue Bus was accompanied by seven escorts on our
way back.
Michael Schmidt, the nearby dairy farmer who faces charges of selling unpasteurized milk, is demanding that provincial investigators leave him alone pending a court decision on whether or not he is breaking the law.
Farmer-retailers of unpasteurised milk in Europe don’t like the term "raw" which is usually given to their product by health authorities all over the Continent.
